Some information about "Pikake"
It is said that the fragrant Jasmine flower was a favorite of Princess Ka'iulani.
She also loved the Peacock bird, which in Hawaiian is also called Pikake.
Princess Ka'iulani was first in line for the throne during the reign of Queen Lili'uokalani, who was overthrown and Hawaii was annexed to the United States.
